A session is a gathering for a specific time period, usually recurring, but not necessarily regularly. A court or other assembly is said to be in session when it convenes.
Session can also have any of the following specific meanings:
Session, in a social setting, modern north american youth slang, refers to a session as a time when a group of friends relax and smoke marijuana.
